About Me
After earning a degree in engineering sciences and applied physics, and serving his country for two years in the U.S. Army Signal Corps, Mr. Giddis moved to California to begin an engineering career in radar and microwave communications. He later became an early contributor to the space age, ultimately managing a multidisciplinary department of engineers who developed electronic equipment for weather and communication satellites and for planetary spacecraft. Upon retiring from the space business, he gravitated toward tutoring math wherever he lived. Settling down in Humboldt County, Mr. Giddis joined the staff of SRCHS as a math aide in March 2011.
