The Six Rivers Community Meeting and Potluck slated for Thursday, August 22nd. New student orientation and parent information meeting will begin at 6:00 pm in room 703. This meeting will last for approximately an half-an-hour.
At 6:30, following the meeting, all Six Rivers families are encouraged to join the staff in a potluck and toast the new year.
The new parent informational meeting led by Six Rivers faculty will focus on the needs of students and families at Six Rivers will take place at 6:00. The informational meeting for new parents is intended to build community, provide critical information to parents, and recruit a team of parents to support school goals. Parents will be able to get questions answered regarding the day to day routine at Six Rivers as well as find out about special events and how to get involved a Six Rivers.
Meanwhile, student leaders have volunteered to provide a brief orientation to new students. This will include a tour around campus to show them where their classes will meet as well as answering questions about the day to day hoops that students must navigate.
Next, all members of the Six Rivers community will gather to share a meal together. The community potluck is a Six Rivers tradition. We hope to build upon this tradition and put an exclamation point at the start of this new year. Six Rivers will provide pizza. Parents are asked to provide sides, salads, desserts, or a dish of their choice.
The Pirate Parents will be setting up tables with the dishes in the art quad just across the street from Six Rivers.
