Important Reminders for Monday 8/24/2020

Six Rivers:

From last night's meeting of new students a few very important elements rose to the top:
  • All students should test their StudentVUE and Email BEFORE Monday. If problems exist please utilize a technology support ticket. Follow this LINK to the ticket.
  • If student experiences connectivity or issues please do not hesitate to reach out to me first and then to Tech Support if needed.
  • Monday and Tuesday will be orientation, presentation of resources and expectations, and community building exercises exclusively for the Six Rivers students. CLASS BEGINS AT 8:45 AM ON MONDAY.
  • THE LINK TO YOUR MONDAY SESSIONS IS  https://zoom.us/j/92768316676?pwd=Nks2dWdNTE9xUUlMdUpHYWtRbHZrZz09 . You will be in and out of this "meeting" throughout the day, but we will use just one link.
  • There will be one assignment for all students that will go out during the first two days. In addition, students will complete surveys and provide feedback for staff to shape the curriculum and activities in the future.
  • On Wednesday, August 26th,  there will be a special schedule where students will see ALL TEACHERS. Links to those to those classes will be sent from individual teachers.
  • Each day students should be checking StudentVUE and email to determine where to go and what is due.
  • Attendance will be taken for online classes. The expectation is that students will be in class and participate. See Schedule.
  • The official distance learning format begins on Thursday, August 27th. The attached schedule for classes has been revised since our meeting last night to reflect suggestions. Note that Six Rivers classes are referred to as "blocks" and periods are for AHS classes.
  • Students enrolled in Integrated Math I or II with Ms. Zapper should stop in and pick-up notebooks for the class at Six Rivers room 703
  • Students enrolled in Bio or Chem with Ms. Schmidt should stop in and pick-up notebooks for the class at Six Rivers room 703
  • Students logging in to a classroom or a meeting should start with their mic muted.
  • Due to bandwidth issues, cameras may have to be off most of the time. It is good etiquette to turn your camera on when speaking.
I realize that this list is most likely incomplete. With this in mind, I welcome questions and will push out additional information. I would like to remind you that I also post information on our webpage regularly as well.

Once again, I would like t to remind you that questions are welcome and you are likely not alone if you have a question.

Thanks for your work and effort!
