Food Program & Alternative Household Income

12/10/2020 Meal Program Update

Dear Northern Humboldt Families:

Due to the COVID pandemic, Northern Humboldt Union High School District has qualified for the Seamless Summer meal program which has been extended for the remainder of the school year. This program allows the district to provide free meals to enrolled students regardless of their income eligibility. The traditional National School Lunch Program (NSLP) form allows for students to qualify for more than just meals, which may provide the additional funding for students listed below.
      • Academic Assistance
      • Learning Materials
      • Counseling
      • Technology Tools
      • Reduced Cost of College Applications

To continue to gain access to these programs an Alternative Household Income form is required, which is much more simple. If you have not qualified for free/reduced meals already, please complete the Alternative Household Income form. This form asks you to determine according to the National School Lunch Program if you are eligible under two categories which are called "Free" or "Reduced," though for this year does not equate to meals. Click here to complete the form or if you do not have access to a device, you can pick up a hard copy form from your school's office.
